Established in loving memory of Dante Adriano Caranci to honour his life, his spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Dante’s love for sport and his kindness toward others has become the heart of our foundation and we seek to ensure that Dante’s legacy continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
dante caranci foundation
Through our Foundation, we hope to help children experience the same confidence, teamwork, and happiness that sports gave Dante, while also offering support to families who are navigating the unimaginable loss of a child. This work is deeply personal to us, and it is guided by Dante’s spirit every step of the way.
our mission
He was his big brother Vinny’s best friend, truly inseparable and always side by side. Gentle and easy-going, Dante wanted everyone around him to be happy. He was kind, loving, and endlessly funny, with a contagious laugh and smile that filled every room with light. Dante completed our family.
A true boy’s boy, Dante loved sports, especially hockey, roller hockey, soccer, and fishing. He was naturally talented at everything he played and approached each game with confidence and determination. Often playing up an age level alongside Vinny, Dante proudly kept up with the big boys.
In his final soccer season, although still a minor on his U8 team, he helped lead his team to a championship. Watching him lift that trophy, beaming with pride, is a memory we will cherish forever. We always believed Dante was destined for big things and dreamed of one day watching him play in the NHL for his favourite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He proudly played hockey with the Lambeth Lancers U9 MD2, soccer with the Lambeth Youth Soccer League U8 Coed (Blue Team Castell Homes), and was a Grade 2 student at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Elementary School in Delaware. Whether on the ice, the field, or in the classroom, Dante showed up with heart, enthusiasm, and an infectious smile. At school, Dante was everyone’s friend.
Dante loved lego. his stuffed animals, fishing with his brother, soccer, hockey, football, and playing video games like Fortnite and NHL 25. He loved his teammates, his classmates, his friends, and above all, his family.
